They say the plant would negatively impact air and water quality and poses a risk to a nearby elementary school.705 Limmer Loop, LLC. has submitted a water quality permit application to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for its site near Limmer Loop and E. Etna Way in Williamson County.According to the application, the plant would discharge up to 50,000 gallons of treated wastewater per day if approved. That runoff would be released into a drainage ditch, tributary, then McNutt Creek, and Brushy Creek.As of Friday, the TCEQ gave preliminary approval of the permit citing waterways would "not be impaired" by the plant's operations.The company said the wastewater plant has been proposed to support a 170-townhome development.
